On the afternoon of November 10, Guangzhou Institute of Science and Technology (GZIST) marked a significant milestone as the Guangdong Commercial Art Designer Association (ACADA) officially awarded the university the title of "Executive Director Unit." A delegation led by Mr. Gao Xiaofeng, President of the Association, Mr. Huang Xun, Vice President, and Ms. Huang Yinyu, Director of the Membership Department, visited the university to hold the award ceremony at the School of Art and Design. GZIST Vice President Zhang Rixin, Director of the University President's Office Huang Feiqing, Executive Vice Dean of the School of Art and Design Liu Yanhua, Vice Dean Fang Bin, and Office Director Tang Haichun warmly received the guests and participated in the entire event.
Amidst warm applause, GZIST Vice President Zhang Rixin and ACADA President Gao Xiaofeng jointly presented the plaque of Executive Director Unit, marking a new phase in the partnership between the School of Art and Design and the industry organization.
Following the award ceremony, the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including talent cultivation, competition collaboration, and university-enterprise synergy. The meeting was conducted in a warm and productive atmosphere, with participants speaking freely and reaching consensus on multiple fronts.
After the meeting, accompanied by the leadership of the School of Art and Design, the association delegation toured the practical teaching facilities and exhibition spaces at the Art Center, where they examined the school's training facilities and creative works. They spoke highly of the school's art education environment and teaching achievements.
This recognition has injected new vitality into the development of the School of Art and Design. Taking this opportunity, the school will further deepen teaching reforms, strengthen industry-academia-research collaboration, continuously enhance the quality of talent cultivation, and contribute more outstanding design professionals to the commercial art and design industry.
