On the morning of October 20, a school-enterprise cooperation exchange meeting betweenGuangzhou Institute of Science and Technology (GZIST), Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (Huawei) and Shenzhen Xunfang Technology Co., Ltd. (Xunfang) was successfully held on campus. The meeting aimed to pool the strengths of the three parties, explore new models for industry-education integration, and cultivate high-quality application-oriented talents to meet the needs of cutting-edge industries including artificial intelligence (AI) and the HarmonyOS ecosystem.
Executive Director of GZIST Wei Fengqin, Executive Vice President of GZIST Fu Huanchang, General Manager of Government & Enterprise Education Sector (Guangdong) of Huawei Zhang Hengyang, Chairman of Xunfang Dai Yi, as well as other leaders and representatives from the three parties attended the event.
On behalf of the university, Wei Fengqin delivered a welcome address. She fully acknowledged Huawei’s global leading position in the industry and the vital role of Xunfang as Huawei’s Gold Partner, and expressed her high expectations for in-depth tripartite cooperation. She emphasized that the university has always strived to bring industrial resources to campus, convert real industrial projects into on-site practical teaching scenarios, and organize regular industrial training for teachers to align teaching with technological development.
Zhang Hengyang analyzed the opportunities and challenges posed by the AI boom and the rapid expansion of the HarmonyOS ecosystem. He stated that Huawei is eager to strengthen cooperation with our university, jointly train professionals in AI and HarmonyOS fields, and fuel the growth of the industry.
Dai Yi spoke highly of the university’s education philosophy that keeps pace with industrial development. He pointed out that amid AI technological innovation and domestic substitution trends, drawing on its sound industrial ecosystem and rich experience in AI and HarmonyOS, Xunfang is willing to explore diversified cooperation models with the university.
The exchange today was truly in-depth and productive, which clarified the direction and key priorities for substantial cooperation in the future.
