On the morning of April 13, the Inauguration Ceremony of the Service Center for Overseas Study and the Opening Ceremony of the 2026 International Education Week were held in Conference Room No. 4, 2nd Floor of the Library at Guangzhou Institute of Science and Technology (GZIST). Among the attendees were Zhang Rixin, Vice President of GZIST; Ye Guiping, Vice President of City University of Macau; Kelsey Chen, Associate Deputy Director of Admissions and Marketing of Curtin Singapore; Xu Long, Vice Principal of New Channel Guangzhou School; as well as representatives from other friendly partner institutions at home and abroad. Also present were leaders from GZIST’s secondary schools and relevant administrative departments, along with faculty and student representatives. The opening ceremony was moderated by Guo Hang, Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation and Dean of the International Education College.
The inauguration of the Service Center for Overseas Study and the opening of the 2026 International Education Week mark a significant milestone in the internationalization of GZIST, signaling that the Institute’s international exchange and study abroad services have entered a new stage of professionalization, systematization, and one-stop development. Looking ahead, GZIST will provide higher-quality services and adopt a more open stance, building a solid bridge connecting students to the world, helping more students realize their dreams of studying overseas, and writing a new chapter in the high-quality development of the Institute’s international education endeavors.
